1971 Chevrolet Chevelle

*396 V8*, *400 AUTOMATIC*, *12 BOLT REAREND*, *EXTENSIVE RESTORATION*. This description will be quite detailed as I will list what we did on the restoration. This has been a personal project for 5 years and has just been finished. MECHANICAL- This car started as a Malibu and we upgraded to the 396, 400 auto with new stall converter and 12 bolt rear end. It did have factory AC which has been upgraded to R134. Here is a list of mechanical repairs. Engine rebuild, transmission rebuilt, rear end. New parts include headers, starter, fuel pump, water pump, heater core, front wheel bearings, brakes, carbureator, hoses, AC, belts, engine and front end wiring, driveshaft, instrument cluster circuit, ac lines, ,bulbs, fuel tank, brake lines, park brake cables, air cleaner, transmission cooler, engine brackets, radiator, gauges, floor shifter, exhaust, master cylinder, brake calipers, shocks, brake booster, Ridler wheels, tires. EXTERIOR- The body was done by our body shop and new parts include, body mounts, windshield, rear wheel houses, emblems, wheel moldings, lamp bezels, complete weatherstrip, hood hinges,, grille, grille trim, rear valance, mirrors, doors, rear quarters, trunk lid, hood, convertible top, top cylinders, top rain gutter, top boot. It was finished in PPG base coat clear coat and wet sanded and buffed to a great shine. INTERIOR- The interior has been completely restored including, carpet, door panels, seat covers, console, dash, ac duct, door panel water shield, correct SS gauges(used). TEST DRIVE- We have only put a couple test miles as of now. Planning on getting more in as soon as weather cooperates. Located in White,SD.
